TANAH JAMBU, Defence Academy, Saturday, 1st January 2022 – The Officer Cadet of Intake 20 has participated in an archery sports activity conducted by the member from Ar-rafi Archery Brunei. The event was held at Defence Academy, Tanah Jambu. The session began with a theoretical learning of which Officer Cadets were introduced to the concept of archery, equipment used for archery, disciplines in archery, safety briefings before and during archery activities and also the benefits derived from archery activities. Other than body strength improvement, mental focus and building confidence, archery is also one of the sports encouraged by the Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.
The event continued with a showcase from the club displaying different kinds of bows and equipment used for archery. The Officer Cadet of Intake 20 has the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and talents in archery by using different positions such as in normal position, sitting as well as horse riding position. The event concluded with the photo taking session.
